After several months of dating, things are getting serious with your boyfriend. You already live together, you’ve talked about marriage, and you’ve now decided that the next step in your relationship is for your families to meet. It wouldn’t normally be such a big deal–except that your families are polar opposites. Your family is pretentious, judgemental, and comes from old school, conservative money. His family is loud and tattooed and has more than one convicted felon in the mix. Oh yeah, and they run a faction of the Italian Mafia. You’ve already decided that the meeting is going to be a complete disaster and no amount of soothing from your boyfriend helps. By the time your guests arrive, you’re a nervous wreck, but he promises that if you both happen to survive the evening, there will be a very sweet reward at the end.
